Coming up Cacti at Prospect House--Featured on 100 Layer Cakelet

In case you haven't heard, we're expecting our first little-one here at Highland Avenue very soon! While we're still busy planning, designing, and working away for our clients, I've also been lucky enough to bask in a bit of nesting and baby planning these last few months as we await our new team member's arrival!

In addition to all the fun nursery designing and tiny-outfit-picking, I was lucky enough to have an absolutely beautiful shower thrown by my wonderful friends Kelley Cannon {of Kelley Cannon Events--if you're ever planning an event in the DC area, she's phenomenal) and Sarah Heck {a past bride turned life-long friend}. They were joined by some of my closest industry friends in pulling off one unforgettable afternoon that I won't soon forget! Every little detail, from the adorable calligraphed cacti placecards by Just Write Studios, to the stunningly clean and modern place settings by Birch & Brass, and oodles of stunning flowers and succulents by Remi & Gold... be still my heart! Oh, and the cake--ugh the cake--if I could eat it EVERY single day I would. I've craved blueberries and lemons my entire pregnancy and Feathers & Frosting knocked it out of the park with their adorable cacti design and crazy delicious blueberry & lemon cake!! Confession - I ate the remnants directly from the fridge the following morning for breakfast.

I'm a sucker for white walls and clean lines, so it was only fitting this whole shebang took place at the one and only Prospect House, and every last detail was perfectly captured {because they're talented beyond words} by our dear friends Sophie & Jordan at Sophie Epton Photography. A big thank you as well to Bee Lavish for the beautiful furniture, Marquee Event Group for the rentals, Tiny Pies for the adorable mini-pies, and Beacon Lane for the stunning invite!

We were lucky enough to have 100 Layer Cakelet feature all the adorable images and I'm thrilled to share them with you! I'm humbled and grateful beyond words for everyone's effort to make this day so special, and for all our friends and family who flew in from near and far to celebrate it with us.

Only a few more weeks--I hope--until our little guy's arrival, and I can't wait to introduce you to him soon!

xo,
Lindsey

Havana Themed Driskill Balcony Reveal Luncheon on Style Me Pretty Living

Y'all, talk about a happy Monday! I'm so excited to share that our festive Havana themed Balcony Reveal Luncheon we designed for The Driskill Hotel is featured on Style Me Pretty Living today! We were inspired by the gorgeous new black and white tiles that grace The Driskill's balcony floors, and a nod to Cuban color and style added such a fun twist to the event. We were honored to have Austin's best and brightest event planners join us to celebrate the reveal and we can't wait for you to see all the colorful details on the feature below!

Le San Michele Old World Shoot on Style Me Pretty

I'm thrilled to be sharing this shoot with the world today! The enchantment that old world Europe offers is something seldom found state-side due to the young nature of our country. Yet, when I saw Le San Michele for the first time, I was immediately transported across oceans. The stone facade, the cypress trees, the gorgeous ironwork and doors...I was captivated. It only made sense to give this place life with a design that nods to old-world Italy and captures all the magic that exists at this well-loved estate.

A very heartfelt thank you to the incredible team who made it happen. Our visions would be nothing more than ideas if it weren't for those who work tirelessly to help bring them to life. A very special thank you to Jenna McElroy Photography for her beautiful film work behind the camera, she captured every detail flawlessly.

I hope you enjoy perusing the shoot as much as I loved designing it.`

Lindsey

Springtime Fête at The Greenhouse at Driftwood

Spring is officially in the air, and we're so excited to have our sunny skies and gorgeous Blue Bonnets back in ATX as we move full-speed into wedding season! One thing many brides are checking off their list this time of year is finding a great venue, and we were lucky enough to be asked by one of our favorites, The Greenhouse at Driftwood, to plan and design their spring open house!

Greenhouse Wedding Venue

Planning it was an absolute blast, and we couldn't have done it without our amazing team of A+ vendors who all went above and beyond to create a beautiful and fun environment for the guests. Our design was a nod to the Greenhouse and Pantone's color of the year #Greenery. To make it all come to life, we built our very own greenhouse with a clear top tent by Whim Hospitality. We adorned it with a gorgeous cluster of wooden pendants from Intelligent Lighting Design decked out in greens by our florist friend Remi & Gold. Their gorgeous blooms also provided perfect pops of color on our 10th Collection tables and lounge vignettes.

Clear top tent wedding

Beautiful calligraphed signage by August & Ember welcomed guests into the space as Cap City Band set the stage with high-energy live music sets. On the softer side, Hill Country Strings serenaded our guests at the ceremony site with their instrumental versions of today's latest hits. As guests sipped on signature cocktails by She + Him BartendingContigo Catering served savory bites for all to enjoy and 2Tarts Bakey blew us away with their gorgeous cakes and delicious cookies. Oh Happy Day photo booth snapped guests enjoying the afternoon and Al Gawlik Photography was there to perfectly capture every last detail. It was a gorgeous day all around and we're thrilled to share all the fun details with you below!

Caroline & Rhydon's Hotel Ella Wedding

Caroline and Rhydon are one of those couples who bring out the best in everyone around them. Their love and admiration for each other are profound and when I had the opportunity to help bring their wedding day to life I couldn't resist.

Surrounded by their family and friends, the ceremony was held at University Christian Church followed by a timeless and classic black-tie reception at Hotel Ella. Even the family bulldog made an appearance! The room was decked out in navy, white and gold with beautiful blooms by Posey Floral, and the couple danced the night away as The Pictures Band played on. Thankfully Pamela Hults Photography was there to capture every last detail, which we're thrilled to share with you below!

Shelly & Steve's Camp Banjillo Wedding

When Shelly and Steve came to me with a plan to get married at Camp Young Judaea, Shelly's childhood camp in Wimberley, TX, I jumped at the idea. It's a place that holds years of memories for Shelly and her family, and the grounds are full of beautiful tree-covered groves! I knew it would be a sweet retreat for all of their friends traveling down from New York City, and a fun step into Shelly's past.

Shelly & Steve are both successful journalists in NYC so getting away from the city and creating a fun camp-style wedding weekend was a priority. We dressed things up with beautiful soft purples, touches of gold, and rustic wood. Pollen Floral Art adorned the celebration with their stunning stems, Uptown Drive kept the guests dancing all night, and Mint Photography captured it all perfectly.

It was a beautiful May day full of love and I'm so excited to share a few snippets of it below. Thank you Shelly & Steve for allowing me to bring your day to life!
